What is it ?

Omnycomm is a sales inventory management tool which is the organization's prime tool to manage all the different e-commerce stores like Parajohn, Wigme, Daykart etc. from the clients internal roles, targets and performance to the e-commerce portals user actions, CMS ,orders and requests.

Organization/Employee Sales Target

Problem briefed by client

The company needed a way to track their organizations performance. Parameters given based on:

• Daily and monthly total sales and total orders.
• Daily and monthly orders Delivered and orders pending.
• Average transaction Value for the month and the day.

( Initial request were for the organization and later the employee targets which were set by the admin who was given permission to set the employees targets)

They asked we delivered! (Process)

Phase1 - Had to interview and understand the needs and requirements of the internal stakeholders to corelate with the existing design along with the feature request. After sketching and brainstorming, I came up with a card design for each parameters showing the analytics of the data.

After getting internal review, we went forward with the final designs which was reviewed and then sent for development and to tested at the End of the week.

The Design for the card are separate and created this way to make it easier to deploy for development.

Phase2 - Feature request for setting employee target

The admin/managers wanted a way to measure sales of their employee, by setting targets and checking each employees sales performance.

After noting the requirements, it was essential to come up with the user stories and quickly wireframe the design and iterate it with the previous design.

Solution-

1. The existing design needed an action to allow users to switch between organization and employee sales.
2. An accordian in the settings to view the target set for employees, edit parameters and add employees with target set for monthly&daily sales .

How long did it take? ( Duration)

Since the feature had been on backlog and was my first work, the work had to be pushed for testing at the end of the week.( Duration was 2 days to design the solution from the existing design language), and eventually a 2 weeks later we got the request for employee performance tracking.

Key learnings

• Since the users were sophisticated and the priority was high shipping the feature was tight and was quite challenging.
• The project taught me about how analytics and key metrics are very important to keep in mind while designing for dashboards and how to make it easier to view such data, this was also a challenge for me.
• Some things that really could be worked on was the design systems and accessibility, the existing product didn't have design system to work upon.
• Lack of iterations as there could have better ways to use dashboard patterns to show data.
